The School Environment
There are nine classes currently in the school including the three Specialist classes. All the classes are named after woodland animals to reflect our schools ongoing commitment to outdoor learning. Throughout the school there is a strong emphasis on active learning with all classes learning through hands-on experiences, with carefully planned holistic, thought provoking activities. Each class has its own Interactive White Boards which the children use to enhance their learning in all areas of the curriculum.
We promote learning through outdoor activities. The children follow the Forest School Programme in our woodland area. Two members of staff are qualified Forest School Practitioners. An essential piece of equipment for our school is a pair of brightly coloured Wellingtons and a waterproof coat!
Ser Bach children have a separate outdoor area. Here they can safely explore the outside, which provides a stimulating and fun learning environment.
