Educational Hours:

Monday – Friday Morning – 8:45am – 10:45am

Monday – Friday Afternoon – 1:15pm – 3:15pm

Wrap Around hours:

Monday – Friday

Morning – 8:45am – 1:15pm

Afternoon – 11:00am – 3:15pm

We provide 10 hours education hours for all children in the setting, we also provide wrap around Childcare offer. We are registered for the childcare offer with Ceredigion, Neath Port Talbot and Cardiff.

We provide:

Ser Bach Y Cwm provides Foundation phase education and Childcare offer hours for children 3 and 4 years old in a friendly, stimulating and welcoming setting.

The 3/4 year old setting are split between 2 rooms we provide 46 possible places for children in any session.

The setting is run by experienced, qualified members of staff who are all enthusiastic, caring and approachable.

A wide range of play activities are planned to promote progress in all areas of a child’s development, which will meet individual needs. We also follow children’s interests and children will have the opportunity to choose for themselves or to take part in small/large scale activities.

Both English and Welsh are regularly used throughout all sessions and staff are always sensitive to a child’s first language.

Our aims and objectives:

Our aim is to ensure the environment is a stimulating, friendly and caring one.
Every child in our care feels happy, safe, secure and confident from when they enter the setting to when they leave.
All staff ensure appropriate and relevant activities, resources are set out for the children to develop their confidence and reach their full potential.
All staff give children the support, encouragement and praise to develop their self esteem and be proud of what they do.
To ensure equal opportunities for the children in the setting.
To always be reflective and evaluate to improve throughout.
To provide children with opportunities to gain competence in a variety of skills and techniques that increase their interest and control over their environment.
Ser Bach Y Cwm will focus on children from disadvantaged backgrounds, in target areas and aims to improve their outcomes in preparation for school and the future.
To provide a wide variety of activities within a routine where cooperative play/work is encouraged and skills are developed.

When can my child start Ser Bach Y Cwm 3+?

The 3+ provision is available for children to access the term after their 3rd birthday up until they access school based provision t is then they will then transfer to the Reception class at school to start full time education

All admissions must be approved by Powys County Council and they will allocate your child a place.
