GYC PTA

We have a thriving PTA run by our hard working, enthusiastic parents. Everyone is welcome to meetings and events.

The PTA is run by a dedicated committee of parents and teachers who organise a wide range of activities throughout the year. Staff and governors are very grateful to them and acknowledge all of their hard work. 

If you would like to join this busy group please call in at the office and have a chat with Nat Ace or Amber.

During the Summer Term, we held a Bag 2 School clothes drive where families got to bring in pre-loved clothes that their children have grown out of to donate. We were very lucky to receive so many donations and thanks to all the families, we raised £100 for the PTA!

The PTA are collecting books over the summer period so we can host a book sale in the new Autumn Term!

This year we are organising a shopping trip to Cardiff – fancy coming along? Saturday 18th November – £15 per person

What an amazing time had by all, we were absolutely blown away by the number of you that came to support this event and celebrate the last 10 years of GYC with us, not even the rain could put you off – I think the ice cream vans queue has never been so long!!! – so many thankyous from all staff and PTA at Ysgol Golwg y Cwm

Coronation Doughnuts!!

What an amazing response to our sale of Doughnuts to celebrate the Kings Coronation…Thankyou to everyone that continues to support us

Dear all,

Friends of Ysgol Golwg y Cwm have organised a clothes collection in order to raise funds for the school.

Bag2school is a textile recycling company who collects unwanted textiles diverting them away from landfill and raising vitally needed funds for Ysgol Golwg y Cwm.
So if you are able and willing please have a sort through your cupboards and wardrobes and donate unwanted textiles to us – this can include: clothes, shoes (tied together or paired with an elastic band), hats, belts, handb

ags, soft toys, lingerie, socks, belts, household linen, curtains, towels, bedsheets etc.

We cannot accept: duvets and blankets, pillows or cushions, carpets rugs mats (of any sort) soiled, painted, wet or ripped clothes, school uniforms, corporate clothing or workwear.

The collection will be at school on the morning of Tuesday 28th March but please bring your bags in to reception anytime after February half term.

DOUGHNUTS  – ALL ROUND

Everyone enjoyed their World Cup Doughnuts kindly arranged bythe PTA.  A massive 444 doughnuts were consumed by the staff and children at the school. Also the sum of £125 was raised to help with funds for the school. Diolch PTA
