UKRAINE FUNDRAISER

Pupils at Ysgol Golwg y Cwm in Ystradgynlais who wore yellow and blue to reflect the Ukrainian flag and bought in cakes to school, raising £779.39. Headteacher Judith Hickey said: “Our school community is a strong and compassionate one.  Every member of the school took part in some way during the day. It was a very emotional, gathering together as a school for the first time in two years, for such a poignant reason. Pupils even sat in a heart shape in the school hall to mark its fundraising effort and support for the people of the Ukraine.
